MEET THE TEAM

John C. Sanchez, MSTax, CLTC is the President of Logos Brokerage Resources, LLC., a nationally licensed insurance brokerage and financial services firm founded in 2012.

John has over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry as a financial advisor, long-term care planner, investment manager, and accountant. He began his career with the IRS Criminal Investigation Division, and then in public and corporate accounting, becoming a Controller and Finance Manager for the Coca-Cola corporation. During this time, John also earned his Master of Science degree in Taxation.

John entered the financial services industry in 1998 as an investment manager with UBS and Morgan Stanley, and eventually opened his own wealth management firm in 2004, which eventually became Logos Brokerage. Logos Brokerage is now a fully licensed national insurance and financial services brokerage, advising families and businesses on advanced and tax-efficient financial planning strategies. John welcomes the opportunity to work with his clients’ financial advisors, CPA’s and estate planning attorneys to help build, optimize, protect and transfer their hard-earned assets. This includes strategies for generating guaranteed tax-free lifetime income in retirement, providing peace of mind for those who don’t want to outlive their income,

John also obtained his CLTC designation to become a long-term care specialist, recognizing its importance, and the increasing need for Extended Care planning. For John’s clients 50 and older, he creates plans preparing his clients and their families for the financial, emotional and physical strain of a potential long-term event.

Jennifer Shaffer, Vice-President of Life Insurance Sales and Marketing

Jennifer is a licensed life insurance producer and joined Logos Brokerage Resources in 2019. She specializes in term, disability, living benefits, and final expense insurance. From Jen’s unfortunate personal experience, she believes in the importance of all individuals having life insurance to protect them and their families from life's unexpected events. Jen earned her B.A. in English from West Chester University in West Chester, PA, and has brought dedication and positive results to each of the companies she’s worked for. Prior to joining Logos, she was the Administrative Director at a home health care agency where she was also a certified investigator and job coach as well as being certified in Quality Management. Her employment background also includes marketing for a semiconductor company and working as a book editor for a publisher. She previously served as president of her local Toastmasters club. Jennifer is an avid writer and is a published author of short stories. She has been nearly a life-long resident of Pennsylvania except for six years on the beautiful west coast of Florida. She has two grown sons.


John Fischer

John is a senior life insurance sales advisor at Logos Brokerage Resources.  He started working in life insurance in 1975 after graduate school.  John quickly achieved top producer status in both life and disability income insurance.  He received his CLU and CFP designations and his Securities Principal License early in his career. 

John helped design and implement a medical high impaired risk life insurance product utilized by many major U.S. Life Insurance Companies financially backed by 3 major Life Reinsurers.  John went on to assist Financial Institutions, Court Appointed Administrators and Liquidators, Life Insurance Companies, and other financial organizations in life settlement sales and acquisitions.  Currently, John has worked in life insurance sales advising on term, whole, universal life, and indexed universal life insurance, disability income insurance, final expense insurance for seniors and programs and products for high net worth business owners, including buy-sell agreements & insurance, key man life, employee retention individual plans, retirement supplemental programs and premium financing life insurance.

When not working with the Brokerage, John enjoys traveling. Since 1977 he has tried to travel 3 times a year with one trip outside the US.  He especially enjoyed visiting Christmas Markets in small villages and large cities in Europe.  He enjoys traveling all around the U.S., especially our National Parks.

Renee Lavin

Renée is the Operations Manager at Logos Brokerage Resources where she oversees the account management, application processing, and administrative assistance to clients as needed.  After graduating from The College of William and Mary with a degree in Economics and completing GE’s prestigious Financial Management Program, she spent 7 years as a Procurement Specialist for GE Aerospace (which later became Lockheed Martin).  Her career path took several turns after the birth of her 3 children, including time spent as a teacher, working for a local newspaper in the Education department, and then back to financial positions with several small local businesses before joining Logos Brokerage. When she is not working, Renée enjoys reading, playing bunco, and drinking wine.  She is also active in organizations for individuals with autism and their families with her middle adult child who has autism. She is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan since being born and raised there but has called southern New Jersey her home for the last 30 years.
